The COVID-19 is still spread in the US, with more than 10,000 new cases at the end of May, two months later after the social distancing policy was started. This has become a big disaster as around 1/4 of America’s workers were filed jobless since March. Many poor people are facing the problem of hunger, loss of insurance, unable to pay the rent and other issues.

At the same time, the raining season is coming, hurricanes and heatwaves are approaching, this will create more challenges for many cities and regions. Michigan, two dams broke and more than 1000 people were evacuated.

This is not the worst, after an African-American man died in police custody, protests spread across the U.S. Will this social turbulence add more disruption of the society which already heavily affected by COVID-19? President Trump posted a tweet suggesting that Minneapolis protesters could be shot, which violated tweet’s rules against glorifying violence. This further escalates tensions between Mr. Trump and his favorite social media megaphone.

We have witnessed this period of history, more will emerge and a picture of how these unfold will become clear.
